These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Table (the "App" or "Service"), operated by Fearless Church, the doing business as name of For Worth Dying Inc. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least eighteen years old to use The Table. By creating an account you represent that you are eighteen or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We may require identity verification through Stripe Identity before granting access to matching and other features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@fearless.church if you believe your account has been compromised. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.
Before you can be matched in The Table you sign the Community Covenant. The Covenant is a promise to the rest of the family that you will keep what is shared in confidence, that you will show up when you say you will, that you will treat every person you meet with the dignity Jesus treats them with, and that you will love your neighbor as yourself. The Covenant is binding alongside these Terms.
The Table is a community for adults to be known and to know one another. You agree to use the Service with respect for other members and Fearless Church staff. You may not, and may not allow others to:
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review content and to remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, report it using the Report button on the member's profile or by emailing team@roomatthetable.app. Pastoral staff review every report within twenty four hours during normal operations. You may also block any member from inside the App, which prevents that member from being matched with you or contacting you through the Service.
The Table is a community and pastoral care tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical care, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, in danger, or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline immediately. Counseling referrals offered through the Service connect you with licensed counselors at By Design Counseling Center, who operate independently from Fearless Church and provide professional services under their own license and policies.
You retain ownership of the content you submit through the Service, including bio, profile photo, prayer requests, journal entries, praise reports, recap photos, messages, and ratings. By submitting content you grant Fearless Church and For Worth Dying Inc a limited, non exclusive, royalty free license to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service and delivering pastoral care to you. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party.
Communications you send to Fearless Church pastoral staff through the Service are treated with the same confidentiality that ministerial communications receive under applicable law and Fearless Church internal policy. Confidentiality has limits, including but not limited to credible threats of harm to yourself or others, suspected child abuse or elder abuse, or other situations where disclosure is required by law. We may also be required to disclose communications in response to valid legal process.
After a meetup you may submit a private rating of your meetup partner across five dimensions (safety, character, vulnerability, presence, fit). Ratings are visible only to Fearless Church pastoral staff and are used to surface concerns and pastoral care needs. Ratings are not shown to the person rated. You agree to rate honestly and only after a real meetup, and to not use the rating system to harass or retaliate against another member.
Before matching becomes available, you must verify your identity through Stripe Identity. Stripe processes your ID document and selfie under their own privacy policy. We receive only a verification result. False or fraudulent identity submissions will result in account termination.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the App or by emailing hello@fearless.church. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or the Community Covenant, if we believe your continued use poses a risk to other members or the Service, or for any other reason at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by Fearless Church and For Worth Dying Inc and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non commercial community use, subject to these Terms.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fearless Church and For Worth Dying Inc disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Fearless Church, For Worth Dying Inc, or their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including any meetup arranged through the Service. You meet other members at your own discretion and assume all risks associated with in person meetings. Our total cumulative liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to one hundred United States dollars.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fearless Church, For Worth Dying Inc, and their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms or the Community Covenant, your misuse of the Service, your conduct toward other members or in connection with meetups, or your infringement of any right of another.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through informal good faith discussions in the first instance, and if not resolved, in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California (the county of For Worth Dying Inc's registered address) or Los Angeles County, California, at our election. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will post the updated Terms at this URL and update the "Effective" date at the top. If the changes are material we will give you notice through the App or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
